Virtual Concert is an online concert piece presented on video conferencing software where audience members become performers and the software is conceptualised as a mediator for music composition.

The performance is structured in three movements which are preluded by a refrain indicating time passing. Text scores are verbally spoken by a computer generated voice, instructing invited audience members to participate in the performance space. Musical notation and other activities are communicated through spoken instructions announcing to performers how they should interact with the presented material on screen. The audience-performer generates the materiality of the piece, such as sound, written feedback, and actions, through their engagement with the medium.

Virtual Concert was commissioned by Post-Paradise Series and premiered during an online concert in December 2020.
