Piece X is a sound installation for horn speakers which draws attention to the ubiquity of contemporary listening by humanising technology as object. The horn speakers infiltrate the natural environment in which they are placed as they disseminate fragmented chords and melodic phrases in between instances of localised everyday activity. 

The installation comments on the ubiquity of sound source in the urban environment and how the environment in which sound is placed affects engagement.
